Description : Seeds are acrid, antibacterial, astringent, blood purifier, constipative, cooling, bitter, deobstruent, diuretic, emmenagogue, mucilaginous,haemostatic, laxative, lithotriptic, stimulant and styptic. Useful in skin affections and ringworms. Also useful in asthma, anaemia and hiccups. The seeds are also employed as a cathartic in habitual constipation.
Recommended Dosage : 2 to 3 g powder of dried seeds.
